Only the helpless or ignorant will willingly accept a Singaporean life

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I assume that most people with a choice would want to be free to live their lives as they want and not be compelled  to live under some government who can do as they please over them. Which explains why the Soviet Union is no longer the Soviet Union or why East Germany is no longer what it was.

Singapore island today, like the former Stalin's Soviet Union or East Germany denies freedom to it's people. They are not free to do as they want as the government decides that for them at any moment. The Singapore government just as Josef Stalin of the Soviet Union is all powerful and their people are helpless.

The Constitution of Singapore is just a piece of scrap paper. Nothing in it has the force of law. No right to free speech expression assembly. Simply nothing. After Lee Kuan Yew's demise in Singapore recently , his son and members of his cabal are the island's Big Brother who can at the flick of their finger push anyone around at any time, and declare black to be white or simply say or do anything they want with total impunity.

The Lee government is not accountable to their people, period.

So who are these people who live such lives under the Lee family and accept their miserable existence? Except for complaining on the Internet on a daily basis, it is clear that they are quite happy to live their lives the way they do. There has been no civil unrest in the island after the strongman Lee senior died and everything is calm and quiet as it was before.

If I have even the slightest ability to judge human nature, only souls helpless or ignorant would willingly accept a life such as this. Any self respecting human being would find such a life simply disgraceful.

If you were helpless through a lack of skills or education and incapable of moving anywhere else, I suppose you have no choice but to live like this. Or otherwise, one has to be ignorant. If you did not know that human beings live as free men in the rest of the world, I suppose you wouldn't object to the way you live. Afterall what you did not know cannot hurt you.

If so, one has to conclude that the majority of Singaporeans are of second rate quality because they lack skills which the rest of the world needs which forces them to live the way they do under the Lee family.

Second, they may be ignorant and not aware they have any rights.

So if you have a population of an island made up of poorly skilled or poorly educated workers or worse, dumb individuals, I must say any society like that is in some big trouble.

They are incapable of competing with countries who have educated and confident citizens who are not ignorant as they are in Singapore, and who would not even dream of putting up with such nonsense.

In the long run, with a poorly qualified and educated population, the island will only regress and decline further and further behind countries which have confident robust discerning and demanding well educated citizens who do not have to take the sort of nonsense you see under Singapore's Lee family.

It may take some time, but the long term prognosis for an island with a population such as this does not look very confident. Any society made up of slaves would have a hard time making any progress. If Singapore has managed to remain afloat so far, it is only because it was not the Internet age. Now with ease of mobility and access to information at the click of a mouse, the rules of the game have changed entirely.

No one in his right mind would want to live in any country where he has no rights at all. So you can imagine the caliber of those who populate Lee Kuan Yew's son's island of Singapore today.

Singapore rule through the State Controlled press

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Lee Kuan Yew's Singapore now run by his son is virtually governed by the island's State Controlled press. This is how it works.

Whenever the government wants to destroy any opponent, silence any troublesome Internet site or change any policy this way or that, in order to continue in power, it is simply done through their state controlled press.

Once the oppositionist has been identified, and the decision made for his destruction, the victim is promptly dealt with and the news is immediately disseminated island wide principally to deter anyone else.

Like clockwork, an individual like Roy Ngerng who had recently accused Lee Kuan Yew's son, the successor to the throne of his father of corruption, he will be sued with the usual defamation lawsuit in the state's Kangaroo courts promptly instructed to deliver the appropriate judgment, thereafter the picture of the victim would be published in the state controlled press calling him a thug and what not and his is effectively destroyed.

If he has a job, he would be sacked immediately and the state controlled press would be ordered to insult him on a daily basis.

Fearing the retribution of the state if they did not obey, the rest of the island too would send him to Coventry and the name of Roy Ngerng would be sullied forever.

See
state controlled newspaper report here http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/courts-crime/story/high-court-orders-roy-ngerng-pay-pm-lee-29000-costs-defamation-sui

In the case of a troublesome blog, they too would be removed and reported in their propaganda press.

Recently the blog "The Real Singapore" was removed because unlike other blogs they were prepared to say it as it is.

Of course the expected happened.

They were conveniently accused of racial intolerance, even though in reality no such thing happened, and their license to publish promptly terminated.

As if this was not enough the 2 editors were charged with several criminal offenses, magically taken out a hat, including a serious sedition charge which carries imprisonment of several years.

The news of this was promptly punished in the propaganda press, their photos prominently displayed.

As a result, "The Real Singapore" is now history. End of story. See the state controlled newspaper report here http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/more-singapore-stories/story/mda-suspends-couples-license-operate-socio-political-sit

The pattern is, the government does anything they want to silence dissent on a daily basis without law and purely out of dictate, and the story published in the state controlled press. The intention of course is to silence everyone else.

As for the people of Singapore, they have to simply obey whatever they are told by Lee Kuan Yew's newspapers which in reality is simply another company newssheet posted on their bulletin board.

This is not freedom and democracy. It is simply life in a company according to company rules.

And Singapore is a company that is authorized to change their rules anytime they want and as "workers" not citizens, they have to simply obey.

Unlike a real company Singapore citizens are not allowed to go on strike or protest as these actions too are illegal and would result in your being jailed and sued for defamation.

And unlike a company Singaporeans cannot leave and find work in another company either, since they are living in a country and there is nowhere else to go.

Singaporeans literally are slaves, not citizens. They can expect to live their quiet lives as long as they accept their lot at the mercy of their masters. Otherwise they are punished though the state controlled newspapers.

(Update)Gopalan Nair visiting Johore Bahru Malaysia across the straits from Singapore

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Update: May 24, 2015. To contact me, please contact my friend in Singapore, Mr. Bala at his Singapore telephone number 97860241. He will arrange to bring you to meet me in Johor Bahru. I will charge a fee of $50.00 Singapore dollars. Please pay the fee to Mr. Bala. If you are a friend of mine and Mr. Bala, there is no fee. You can also ask me questions on US Immigration law as a US lawyer. I believe Mr. Bala will only be free on the weekends. Therefore if you would want to meet me, you may begin contacting him now. Best regards to all of you. Till I meet you.

I will be visiting Johor Bahru Malaysia from June 08, 2015 to June 20, 2015.

I will be pleased to meet my supporters and friends.

I will post my dedicated phone number here soon before I depart United States.

I will not be crossing over to Singapore for obvious reasons.

Although I have an American passport which does not ordinarily require a visa to enter Singapore, in 2008 when I had criticized the Lee Kuan Yew judge Belinda Ang Saw Ean while on a short trip to the island, for her disgraceful bias and corruption in the case of Lee Kuan Yew vs Chee Soon Juan, I was arrested and sent to jail there and immediately thereafter deported.

See my blog post here dated May 29, 2008 titled "Singapore. Judge Belinda Ang's Kangaroo Court" http://singaporedissident.blogspot.com/2008/05/singapore-judge-belinda-angs-kangaroo.html

This deportation does not allow me to enter the island without a visa.

Even if I were to apply for a visa and even if they were to grant it, it is still unwise to enter the island since Singapore does not have the rule of law and they could do anything they want including detaining me under additional charges which they can literally draw out of a hat.

It is not that I am afraid of them but being detained once again in the island like they did to me the last time is something I cannot risk now, as I have a law practice to run in the United States and there are clients who depend on me for their cases.

I cannot abandon them, which will be the case if they were to hold me once again for an extended period.

I therefore cannot take the risk of entering an island that is run as a fiefdom by Lee Kuan Yew's son, who obviously no longer cares for his international reputation.

If you want to see me and talk about the future of the island under Lee Kuan Yew's son, or even just chat over some nasi lemak and Kopi-O (food and refreshments that only locals would understand) please telephone me at the number I will post here in the next few days.

It is impossible for Singaporeans to challege Lee's PAP

Ladies and Gentlemen,

In every single aspect of one's daily life in tiny Singapore, any display of even the slightest opposition to the establishment means punishment while open support automatically results in privileges.

There is simply no advantage in opposing the regime in Singapore, a Lee Kuan Yew creation, a classic fascist state.

Open critics are disadvantaged and marginalized regardless of their level of education, skills and abilities.

Chee Soon Juan the Secretary General of the opposition Singapore Democratic Party was fired from his job and has been jobless for years, a man who was previously a highly respected university professor with a PhD.

Had it not been his open defiance of the establishment, he would have been in a highly lucrative position where his education and skills are used accordingly. The list of marginalized highly educated Singaporeans goes on, all because they have decided to oppose this system.

Only recently, Roy Ngerng, a young man in his 20s openly accused lee Kuan Yew's son of dishonesty relating to the state retirement fund (CPF). He was immediately sued and fired from his job at a local hospital. He is now jobless and believed to be living off donations from well wishers.

John Tan was the chairman of Chee's political party. For that he was fired from his teaching post at Cook University's Singapore facility. I am not sure how he survives today.

This shameful practice of denying careers to those who are not sympathetic to the establishment, is not only the worst form of persecution, it also deprives Singapore of valuable talent which it badly needs given a small population base. Although you may think the government is shooting themselves in the foot through the loss of such talent, it appears the government doesn't care. To them, punishing their critics appears far more important than the island's interests.

The public punishment of government critics is not only to punish them, it is done more to warn other citizens not to go down their path, a plan which is clearly shown to be effective. Today most Singaporeans are not capable of thinking between right and wrong of the government's actions, while many chose instead not to think, as it offers no benefit.

Human beings being unique among God's creations, have the ability to think and reason, and thinking and forming judgments is a natural thing.

If you may not like the denial of free speech and expression as is the case in the island of Singapore, it would be natural for one to openly say so.

But in Singapore, to do what is natural to the human spirit is not only discouraged, it will result in great harm to you. .

Criticizing the prohibition of free speech, even though common sense tells you there is nothing wrong with it, is disallowed and a citizens therefore are required to deliberately hold themselves back from being a normal human being who speaks his mind and become someone who deliberately checks himself to conform to group- speak just to survive.

And this general acceptance of conformism being right changes the normal thought process. In Singapore the general consensus is that only fools would join the opposition. Clever guys will do the smart thing and join Lee's PAP.

But what is PAP anyway? It is a government that denies free speech expression, the rule of law and yet expects people to respect and obey Lee Kuan Yew's son even though in their own minds, these are a bunch of gangsters who have turned them into slaves.

But because they have got away with it for so long with impunity and since it is they who have the means to dish out the goodies, and any opposition to them results in eternal pain, people have slowly begun to really believe that this dictatorial government is actually good and those who oppose them surely are a bunch of fools.

And this philosophy has not only become the norm on the ground, it has also become the truth and the prevailing philosophy in that island.

In the end the Lee government has managed to turn the island into a bunch of zombies, who actually believe that Big Brother is right after all.

The question is, is such group thinking and conformism any good for Singaporeans  or their island.

The answer has to be clearly in the negative.

The ability to think independently with logic and common sense is a desirable and necessary quality for advancement in life and a career anywhere in the world, except in Singapore where it is not only discouraged, it is not necessary.

The Lee government appreciates people who can blindly just do their work without the need to think whether they live as slaves.

But the moment such a brainwashed individual leaves the protection of Lee's island, he is totally at a loss.

In western countries, one has to have the ability to think and question to survive in their competitive world, a quality which the Singaporean totally lacks.

Not only the adults in Singapore, but their children too end up as mindless brainwashed robots because this is what is appreciated in Lee's society; blind obedience.

And blind obedience is the clear path to success under Lee Kuan Yew's son.

Can a country like this progress in this competitive world? Hardly.

Countries that succeed always have societies that can think.

It is thinking societies that come up with new ideas. And new ideas mean innovation and experiment.

And innovation and experiment means progress, which the Lee government does not want because, new ideas means questioning the Lee government and questioning them means trouble for them, which they do not want.

Better to keep you a mindless fool rather than allow you to threaten their grip on power.

I have no respect for Lee Kuan Yew's son or his government.

He only manages to retain grip on power only though corruption by giving bribes in the millions to his minions to continue supporting him.

Like a thug he uses his police force to intimidate his citizens into obedience and uses his corrupt judges to subvert the law to destroy his opponents through defamation actions.

But his people are so afraid of him that they dare not question his abuse of power and simply submit.

In fact the entire society there have been so intimidated and brainwashed that they actually believe that being loyal to him is actually the right thing to do.

Singaporeans are either incapable or unwilling to challenge their government either because they actually believe that living as slaves is a good thing, while the rest of society are even unaware that they are in fact slaves.

Under these unfortunate circumstances and under the ongoing unremitting brainwashing regimen that the average Singapore is presently being put, Singaporeans have no hope of standing up to this regime.

A life in the West for Singapore's young rebel Amos Yee

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Amos Yee is a most unlikely Singaporean in Lee Kuan Yew's island society of mindless conformists.

Immediately after Singapore's strongman Lee Kuan Yew had died only recently, this 16 year old boy came up with a searing attack upon the man calling him names and expletives, a "horrible man" and so on.

He also exhibited enormous wisdom and street savvy far beyond his age criticizing Jesus Christ and calling Margaret Thatcher a dictator and so on.

Regardless of everything else he said, it is his criticism of Lee Kuan Yew which got him into trouble in Stalinist Singapore. Please see the island's state controlled newspaper Straits Times report here http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/courts-crime/story/teen-blogger-amos-yees-two-day-trial-begins-20150507

I think he would be wasting his time living in a boring sterile society such as Singapore where it is simply impossible for anyone with a mind of his own to survive.

And Yee has a mind of his own in a society where everyone else is either dumb or afraid of his rulers, not much different from Kim Jong Un's North Korea.

Amos Yee would be accepted as a refugee in any Western country as he satisfies the United Nations definition of the term.

He should travel to a country outside Singapore such as Malaysia and appear at any embassy/ consulate of a foreign country which he prefers. There he should ask for refugee status.

He clearly qualifies since he is being punished for expressing his right of free speech and opinion.

The reasons given by the government of Singapore such as his violating the racial balance of the island or posting a obscene drawing are simply nonsense.

If he were to ask for refugee status, no Western embassy of Consulate would deny him that request and return him to the Singapore authorities.

I would also suggest that before he takes that step, to alert, if possible various international human rights agencies and newspapers which would make any foreign embassy wanting to deny his request think many times over, since it will certainly have serious repercussions on their reputation for democracy.

Once in the West, he could continue his education and perhaps even pursue his dream of becoming a famous move star.

This would certainly not happen in Singapore and Yee should seriously consider getting out than rotting in that sterile one party mindless society that Lee Kuan Yew has very successfully cultivated.

If he happens to enter the United States as a visitor and then plans to apply for asylum status, I would be only too happy to represent him.

I would point out to the reader that the numbers of young Singaporeans coming to the US and applying for asylum is already on the rise. I am already representing a number of them but attorney client privilege does not permit me to disclose their identities at present. There is no doubt in my mind that the very stupid policy of Lee Kuan Yew's son after his father's death to continue suppressing and repressing Singaporeans is certainly seen to be counter productive. His belief that the only way to rule is like that of his father is nonsensical, something he does not appear to understand.

Now playing: Singapore's Amos Yee live theatrical lawyer show before a Kangaroo Court

Ladies and Gentlemen,

You have all heard  in unique Singapore now, a very interesting event is happening.

I could almost say: "Now Playing in Singapore Court, a theatrical legal comedy "The Amos Yee Case" starring Amos Yee himself and a cast of brilliant actors".

It is cruel tragic irony in a way to say this, as Amos Yee is in real life indeed a budding actor who has starred in movies himself.

In this latest case of make believe, a 16 year old boy, Amos Yee, has been arrested, put in chains and imprisoned all because he made a video in which among other things, generously using expletives, he very accurately called the recently deceased Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore a "horrible man" and a "dictator" "who would sue anyone who crosses him" (right again).

In addition he drew a cartoon of the deceased Lee having sex with the late British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, whom Amos Yee obviously believed was a dictator like the dead Lee and he also criticized Jesus Christ whom he believed also to be a dictator.

But anyone who knows Singapore knows exactly why they have come down so hard on this very courageous 16 year old in repressive Singapore.

I say "very courageous" because you don't need much courage to make a video like this in Australia and call the Prime Minister Tony Abbott a "horrible man". In fact no one would bother to even pay any attention.

But you need supreme courage to call Kim Jong Un in North Korea or Lee Kuan Yew in Singapore anything unpleasant. In fact you have to be suicidal.

They have come down hard on him only because he insulted Lee Kuan Yew in Lee Kuan Yew's Singapore.

Amos Yee might as well as been in North Korea and insulted Kim Jong Un!

You might also wonder why the Lee Kuan Yew son's government is so intolerant of criticism that they have to go to this extent against a 16 year old boy who simply made a video.

The reason is that they have a serious problem.

They have a system of government which is foundationally unsound.

And if people are allowed to openly criticize them, as they do in other free democracies, they would be overthrown.

As a result the only way they can hope to remain in control is to continue to inflict fear in the minds of the citizens without which they know they will be toppled.

The fundamental faults of this regime are as follows.

It is based on a fraud.

For instance, the Constitution guarantees freedom of speech and expression but in reality this is denied.

Second, the ministers are the most corrupt government in the world because they pay themselves millions of tax payers money which they justify by calling it salaries.

Although the Constitution mandates a free press, the state controls the entire island media.

There is open and public racial discrimination by the ethnic Chinese against the Malays and Indians.

Their fear is that if the people are allowed to speak and make videos criticizing their rulers on these and other injustices and abuses, they would no longer retain control.

Which is why they have to punish Amos Yee because they have to prevent others following in his footsteps at any cost.

You may disagree with him or even agree with him but that is your right.

In the same vein Amos Yee obviously believes in what he put in his video, which is also his right.

And you would also agree with me that if he did any or all of this in any democratic country, throughout the whole of Western Europe, United States or Australia, no one would have even batted an eyelid.

But not in Singapore. Read here of his arrest in the state controlled Straits Times report "Teen blogger pleads not guilty to both charges at start of 2 day trial" http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/courts-crime/story/teen-blogger-amos-yees-two-day-trial-begins-20150507

If you know what Lee Kuan Yew's Singapore is, (now run by his son) is, you would know that all the hype and the courtroom trial is nothing more than a Punch and Judy show with Lee Kuan Yew's
judge sitting up there as Chief Kangaroo, looking down at these lawyers in black robes going through the motions of legalese, at the end of which the Chief Kangaroo will naturally come down with the time honored well known, as expected by all decision, GUILTY.

I am not sure if you had read Alice in Wonderland and the trial of the rabbit who stole the tart. When the King suggested that the evidence should be called, the Queen who was so bored that she said they should deliver the sentence right away and not waste time with the such things as evidence!

Singapore trials whenever they catch a critic of the dictators are what you call a "telephone trial" and what you will get is "telephone justice".

What I meant to say was, it is not the judge presiding over these Kangaroo trials who has any say on its outcome, it is Lee Kuan Yew's son and his government.

In Singapore island, Amos Yee has the dubious advantage which others do not have except perhaps in North Korea; he knows he is already guilty before he even steps into the courtroom!

In a case like this, the government decides what the punishment will be, taking into account all other considerations, which are what is the necessary punishment to deter Amos Yee and others from ever criticizing their rulers.

On the other hand they would also have to take into account, the effect and the consequence of any punishment on the island's citizen's who live in fear.

Is it safe to deliver a very harsh sentence?

Would any harsh sentence tend to push the people to the limit and cause a revolt instead, etc etc.

What is the best punishment for him which would continue to keep the citizens living in fear but not too harsh as to put them off completely?

You see, any politically motivated trial such as this is a political decision, not a legal one. The question is, what is good for Lee Kuan Yew's son; not what is good for the law.

And once Lee Kuan Yew's son decides the punishment he or one of his minions would "telephone" the judge as to what the punishment should be which the Chief Kangaroo judge would accordingly deliver in court, while looking as solemn and serious as possible, to make the spectators believe that it is indeed he, who has decided and no one else.

You see, a job like this for the Kangaroo Judge is not as easy as you think.

For one, you have to make sure you hold yourself back from laughing out loud out at the nonsense of the whole exercise.

You need to have at least some theatrical ability to continue looking solemn and serious throughout the whole trial of a few days, while going through the motions of legal questions and objections, all with solemn seriousness, all to look as if you are in fact in an actual court.

You don't have to be Charles Laughton in the courtroom drama "Witness for the Prosecution" but you still need some theatrical acumen without which you simply cannot sit through the whole thing, in effect, entirely a theatrical performance.

But in fact it is no different from going to Opera House in Sydney and watching "Phantom of the Opera". The only sad thing with this case is that poor Amos Yee is the sacrificial lamb to please the Singaporean rulers.

Beside the Chief Kangaroo judge actor presiding, the lawyers who are involved in this performance are either ignorant fools or thoroughly unscrupulous characters.

In the same state controlled newspaper Straits Times, this report "Court to decide on teen blogger Amos Yee's case on May 12"  it states, various arguments were put forward by the lawyers such as, the cartoon Lee having sex was not obscene, that he didn't hurt the feeling of Christians etc etc. See http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/courts-crime/story/trial-teen-blogger-amos-yee-resume-friday-afternoon-20150508

I am sure as so- called lawyers in that island, they are fully aware that their legal arguments have no effect whatsoever on the decision of the Chief Kangaroo who is now waiting for his orders from Lee Kuan Yew's Son on the punishment.

Or perhaps the punishment may even already have been decided.

Yet they go disgracefully through the motion of play acting as lawyers as they would in a theatrical performance, a disgraceful thing to do for someone who has decided to enter a noble profession such as this.

Let me tell any reader who may not know what Singapore really is.

It is a dictatorship.

It has no rule of law.

It is no better than North Korea.

Just as in North Korea you get punished and destroyed if you criticized Kim Jong Un, so it is in Singapore if you criticize Lee Kuan Yew's son or his government.

In North Korea they shoot you.

In Singapore they either arrest you and throw you in jail or they sue you for defamation.

After they have finished with you in Singapore, you face retribution for life.

Your life is ruined, you will have no career, and you are as good as dead.

In Singapore the citizens have a pack mentality, a lynch mob. As a known target of the state, poor young Amos Yee has no hope in the island after he is released from prison. He is, as they would call someone in India, an untouchable.

In Singapore, as the dead Lee has himself repeatedly said, you have to know which side the bread is buttered.

And it is buttered on the side of the praises and accolades of Lee Kuan Yew's son and his "world class government".

Just as Kim Jong Un would say of North Korea, Singapore is the best country in the world.

Once again, if anyone is wondering why I am able to write this and get away with it, it is because I live in California USA. Lee Kuan Yew's son has no jurisdiction here. This blog is hosted in the United States. To prevent it being seen in Singapore would require them to demand the US Internet provider to stop displaying it in Singapore. And that is a hard thing to do without hurting their own reputation even further.

Amos Yee vs Singapore. Checkmate.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Everyone both within and without Singapore has heard of Amos Yee , a 16 year old unlikely teenager who did the unthinkable in the dictatorship started by Lee Kuan Yew in 1959.

Yee made a YouTube video just after the dictator died only recently in which he called him exactly what he is, a rat, to put it rather mildly.

Singapore is a repressive one party one man dictatorship island of Lee Kuan Yew, who first imposed the dictatorship in 1959 and which continues till today but now run by his son, in the Kim Jong Il Kim Jong Un style, first Lee Kuan Yew, now his son, in perpetuity.

What Yee, this 16 year old unlikely teenager did in the authoritarian intolerant tiny society was  unthinkable.

He made a YouTube video just after the dictator died only recently in which he called him exactly what he is, a rat, to put it mildly, as the video is much worse.

In any other country making a video cursing and swearing at a Prime Minister is nothing unusual at all, it happens everyday, it is just a normal democratic process.

But not in Singapore run by Lee Kuan Yew's son.

He and his minions in power are terrified of any opposition and understandably so.

A robust credible respectable government is not afraid of any criticism because they know that their government is a lawful credible government with transparency and the rule of law.

Criticize if you want but the people have their own judgment and appreciation and the government can rebut what you say in a free society.

In Australia, you can make as many YouTube videos you want criticizing Tony Abbot and no one is going to be arrest you for it.

Why, because Australia is a proud respectable democracy, and they are not going to be toppled just because you made a video.

Not so in Singapore which has a major problem.

It is a banana republic.

A pariah state where the people have no freedom of speech, expression or assembly or the rule of law.

The judges are mere Kangaroos for the state.

There is blatant nepotism and corruption among the Ministers as they siphon off tax payer's money to the tune of millions of dollars which they call conveniently a salary.

The government is predominately ethnic Chinese, in a supposedly multi racial island, which shamelessly practices nepotism on a industrial scale where they give their Chinese family members and relatives cushy jobs and millions in corruption and kick backs while employing a handful of Tamils in high positions as show pieces to give the impression of impartiality.

Since every Singaporean knows the corruption and the slavish lives they live under a dictatorship, in any argument the citizen, if allowed to speak will win hands down because he is right in calling this government a corrupt dictatorship without any rule of law.

It is precisely because they have no leg to stand on if challenged in open debate by any citizen, that they feel it necessary to use extra-legal means to muzzle any critic at any cost, because the moment he is allowed to speak, there goes the credibility or the lack of it among these dictators.

So as young Amos has to silenced at any cost, the moment he put out the video, he was immediately arrested and charged firstly with insulting Christians, because he criticized Jesus Christ, insulting the dead Lee Kuan Yew by drawing a cartoon of him having sex with the deceased former English Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and insulting the deceased Lee Kuan Yew himself by calling him a "horrible person". You can see the video here in the report in the New Yorker.

http://www.newyorker.com/culture/cultural-comment/the-arrest-of-a-teen-aged-youtube-star

Any lawyer can tell you that this Lee Kuan Yew dictatorship is clearly misusing the law, as they do whenever they want, by using the criminal law against Yee for what he did.

The principle of modern jurisprudence in criminal law allows the state to interfere in a citizen's private actions only when the rights of others are affected.

Otherwise, a citizen has a right to be free from arrest and molestation by the state. If not, you end up a police state, which Singapore presently is.

By putting up this video, Yee has not harmed anyone else. No Christian has been harmed, his cartoon of Lee Kuan Yew having sex with Margaret Thatcher has not harmed anyone else, least of all Margaret Thatcher who has long since died, and as there is no law against insulting a dead person, since Lee Kuan Yew is already dead, he cannot possibly suffer any harm as a result.

Of course you know why they have to arrest Yee.

It is because what he said is entirely true. And even if it is not true, he has a right to say it if he wants and it is none of Lee Kuan Yew's son's business to be arresting him

And if more and more people are allowed to repeat this truth, Lee's son who is now running the dictatorship is going to find it impossible to keep his increasingly discerning citizens in line.

So he does the only thing he knows, arrest anyone who criticizes, in the hope that other like minded persons who are thinking of doing the same are dissuaded and silenced.

But in this game of chess of Yee versus the Lee dictatorship, Yee is the winner hands down.

Regardless of what Singapore law says of his actions, what really matters is the law of natural justice.

What matters is common sense.

What matters is where does the moral high ground lie? It clearly lies with Amos Yee.

In the court of public opinion, the clear winner is Amos Yee who has managed to stand up like the proverbial David against this repressive corrupt regime of the Lees, the Singaporean Goliath.

And having roundly defeated this corrupt regime just by having the courage to stand up to them in the first place, Yee has now upped  the ante.

In court recently as a condition of granting bail, the judge in the court of Lee's Alice in Wonderland, had underestimated the resolve of this young opponent.

The judge went too far and had demanded that Yee, who is now in jail pending his trial,  not post anymore blogs as a condition for his release.

Such a demand of a citizen is clearly illegal under any jurisdiction except perhaps in North Korea.

This really crossed the line.

No court in the world can simply demand that a citizen be prohibited to write and publish anything at all.

He clearly misjudged his young 16 year old opponent by thinking that like all meek and submissive Singaporeans who submit every single time, he would too.

But then there is always the exception.

This is where Yee has called out checkmate to this dictatorship.

If Yee insists that he will not budge on this demand, what is the judge going to do?

If he keeps Yee in jail until the trial, unless the trial is tomorrow, Yee is going to be imprisoned without having been found guilty by any court of law, something totally unacceptable in the civilized world.

Furthermore not to prolong the unjust detention of Yee, any trial that occurs so suddenly is itself vitiated in law because Yee was not given sufficient time to prepare his case.

I hope that Yee will continue to stand his ground despite the hardship and say no to any demand that he be muzzled from writing and publishing what he wants.

The Lee regime in Singapore has already been defeated by Yee merely standing up to this dictatorship.

The shame on the regime will be all the more greater when Yee stands his ground and refuses to submit to this nonsensical demand. His victory will be all the more sweeter.

I post here the state controlled Straits Times report on the standoff between them regarding the demand that Yee make no other public reports or blogs. http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/courts-crime/story/amos-yee-wants-bail-conditions-reviewed-he-claims-they-amount-gag

If anyone is wondering why I am able to write this and not be arrested, it is because I live in the United States. Lee's Kangaroo courts do not work here.

The failure of the Singapore dictatorship. It simply doesn't fly in this modern Internet age

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The economic and social situation in tiny Singapore today is not looking good at all for it's authoritarian rulers.

The economy, competitiveness and everything else is sliding backwards and downwards.

Not a good sign at all.

Yesterday there was the report in Straits Times state controlled newspaper titled "Unemployment rate dips slightly while employment growth slows" See http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/more-singapore-stories/story/unemployment-rate-dips-slightly-first-quarter-while-empl .

According to the report the number of jobs created has been steadily declining.

The myth touted of the island by the propaganda department of being a popular job destination is now roundly shattered.

As for the constant refrain by the state controlled propaganda newspapers of the island being the safest spot in the world is also now found to be humbug.

Other than the daily robberies and snatch thefts reported in that island, on May 1, 2015 the same state controlled paper has the story "49 year old man arrested for allegedly assaulting Amos Yee" See https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=8081742307252789733#editor/target=post;postID=7159093399419360351

Amos Yee as you already know is that 16 year old courageous boy who has more balls than the entire Singaporean population put together was arrested after he made a video entitled "Lee Kuan Yew is finally dead" in which he called the dead dictator a "horrible man" among other things.

I agree and so does anyone with a head with grey matter on his shoulders.

A sycophant among the thousands and thousands you find in that island, who thought he could score points with the dead Lee's son, the present Prime Minister, confronted Yee along the entrance to the court and assaulted him in broad daylight.

These sort of assaults are becoming a daily commonplace way of life in Lee's so-called safest island in the world. There goes the title "the safest island in the world".

That same source of state controlled news reported yesterday "Tough times at Far East Plaza" See http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/more-singapore-stories/story/tough-times-far-east-plaza-20150502.

Far East Plaza is a very popular shopping complex along the premier shopping street in Singapore Orchard Road and only yesterday even suggesting that business has slowed there would have been simply unthinkable.

But it has happened.

Half the retail shops have closed and the other half is struggling to survive and would probably also close.

This can only mean one thing.

Singaporeans simply cannot afford to purchase anything and the foreign tourists who are it's mainstay are no longer coming.

The glitz and shine of the island advertised has faded.

You can imagine of course if this is happening to the island's most popular shopping complex in the iconic Orchard Road, what is happening to the other lesser stores that pepper the entire island!

Yes you are right. It is a case of closing shutters and calling it a day.

If all this is not bad enough, you can hear even more bad news even from the horse's mouth.

On April 29, 2015, one of the few Tamils (Indians) in Singapore who has been accepted by the majority ethnic Chinese government of the island, the Deputy Prime Minister has admitted that  productivity is so low, it cannot expect any growth in the future.

See article in the state controlled Straits Times of April 29, 2015 "Global Growth will not be enough to drive Singapore economy: DPM Tharman" See http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/more-singapore-stories/story/global-growth-will-not-be-enough-drive-singapores-economy

Besides this, it is equally bad in every other sector.

Earlier reports on the property sector has news of the record fall in both local HDB (government owned housing comprising 99% of the island's property market) flat prices as well as the luxury property market.

It has been reported that luxury condominiums in Sentosa are lying almost idle and many being sold for as little as 10% of their purchase price.

The rest are lying empty.

It seems Sentosa Cove is now a ghost town.

Looking at all these signs, only one story appears, the island is declining in every way possible, and very successfully going from first world to third.

At the same time we hear that it's brain drain has hit the roof with record applications for settlement to Australia New Zealand Canada and the United States.

For a tiny population of locals comprising no more than 2 million (the rest being foreigners), it simply means that locals are becoming virtually extinct.

At the same time, despite every possible measure taken to encourage childbirth among the preferred Chinese race, the same race as the ruling government and the Lees in power, couples have reduced their childbirth so much that the island holds the dubious world record for the lowest childbirth/fertility rate.

It means a couple are not replacing even themselves when they die.

And to these existential, literally life and death problems the government has finally confessed to have no solution at all, is getting worse by the day.

Anyone with eyes and a head can see where this island created by the man who was "too clever by half" Lee Kuan Yew, as he was described by the first Prime Minister of Malaysia Tenku Abdul Rahman, is heading; to the bog.

And anyone with even the most rudimentary thought process still intact can see why.

Singapore is not today a bunch of illiterate coolies as was the case in the 1950s.

Unfortunately for the Lees who would obviously like to continue in power in perpetuity, the sad fact is that many have had an education.

And among those who has had a bit of that is myself, Gopalan Nair.

And like Gopalan Nair, who decided it best to leave the island of HG Wells Doctor Moreau, there are many there who have had an education too. And as a added bonus, an ability to think as well.

So if you can read and if you can think what do you think Singapore island is?

It is a dictatorship where previously Lee Kuan Yew and after his death now his son, who strut around like prize rooster behaving as if the island belongs to him and he can do just about anything he wants to anybody.

As he doesn't want anyone to criticize him, he arrests and sues anyone he wants for defamation of character in his Kangaroo courts.

He abolishes all constitutional guarantees  rights including freedom of speech and expression.

He controls the entire press and only allows propaganda.

He uses fear to subjugate his island.

People who criticize him are fired from their jobs and thrust on to the street.

The only ones who can possible live with their souls intact are the ignorant noodle seller at Toa Payoh food stalls who is content if he as 3 meals a day, a television at home and his children can go to state controlled schools to be indoctrinated in state propaganda.

But Gopalan Nair is not that ethnic Chinese noodle seller and so are many other Singaporeans. So what does anyone who can think do?

He either openly confronts the regime or he simply packs up and leaves the island altogether.

This is why hundreds of thousands of Gopalan Nairs, even the ethnic Chinese version of Gopalan Nairs have simply left the island and others are in the process of leaving.

If for some reason the parents cannot leave, they send their children to the Western schools after which they never come back.

Worse, once they graduate, they bring their parents to the West.

They encourage their siblings and relatives to move to the West.

Like a huge vacuum suction pump, the West attracts every single educated Singaporean who is able to leave, while only those who are ignorant and dumb like that ethnic Chinese needle seller, who have no reason to leave because they know no better, or those without skills remain behind.

You can imagine those departing are a huge segment of the tiny island population , since there are not many human beings to begin with in that island anyway.

In order to replace these talented Singaporeans, the Lees have no other choice but to replace them with immigrants.

What sort of immigrants to Singapore are they? You guessed it, the worst lot.

They all come from countries that are poverty stricken who always had huge outflow of emigrants, mainly China and India.

All these people who want to get out are trying to reach the affluent countries of the West, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand in the first place.

If given a choice, none of these people would want to come to Singapore if they can avoid it.

But because their qualifications are second rate and unsuitable for the West, they come to Singapore as their second choice since almost anywhere is better than Communist China or India.

So the first rate educated qualified Singaporeans like Gopalan Nair leave and in their place you get some ethnic Chinese who could never imagine being accepted by the United States.

The effect of this is to drastically reduce the quality of the Singaporean workforce, with poorly qualified, second rate immigrants because if you asked any one of these immigrants to Singapore if they would rather go to Australia, they would jump at the opportunity.

And as the Lees in government continue to become more and more repressive which will soon be not too dissimilar to North Korea, no one who has a choice would want to live there and submit himself to such nonsense.

With the drop in quality of its citizens, so does productivity, competitiveness and the slide towards the bog of failed states is accelerated.

I am sure Lee's son who is now in power and the island's new dictator to replace his father knows this. But like all dictators, he is riding a tiger. He knows he cannot dismount because the tiger would devour him.

And by the way, the only reason why I can write this without being arrested is because I live in the West.
