Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew makes young students sell their souls

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Singapore state controlled newspaper the Straits Times of August 13, 2011 has the story "No perfect score but still a President Scholar". It talks about a Singaporean child Aaron Koh who has been selected President Scholar.

To those unfamiliar with Singapore strongman Lee Kuan Yew's plan to remain in power, it is giving generous scholarships to young Singaporean students to read at the world's prestigious universities, then return to Singapore and work for Lee's government and do his dirty work of repression for 20 to 30 years, their entire career.

These students and their parents willingly sign government contracts bonding their child to serve Lee Kuan Yew and his government for their entire careers in return for astronomical sums of money, mind boggling, such as even millions a year!

The best comparison to this disgraceful arrangement that these young students go through willingly is a comparison to prostitution. A young good looking prostitute, let's call her Cindy, in say Amsterdam or Berlin decides that she wants to make a lot of money, and one way for this is prostitution which is legal in those places.

Each day they can make even as much as $1,000.00 a day which means very soon they can get very rich. They realise that this work is wrong of course and shameful, an immoral life but they are prepared to do it for the money. Many would consider them disgusting and a disgrace to humanity, women who are prepared to sell their bodies and souls just for the money.

This young student, Aaron Koh who has won the Singapore President's Scholarship and his parents are no better than Cindy the prostitute you find in Berlin or Amsterdam.

Just like Cindy who will sell her body to customers for large sums of money, this boy Aaron Koh, in return for the scholarship, will return to Singapore and serve Lee Kuan Yew or his son in their repressive dictatorship. He will perhaps be appointed a High Court Judge and be required to send innocent Singaporeans to jail or into bankruptcy at Lee's command, as Lee does now.

Or he would have to be the Minister for Information and ensure that every single newspaper continues under state control at his master Lee's pleasure. Or he may have to abuse the law to send innocent Singaporeans to jail without trial on trumped up charges.

And even if he does not find himself in a position having to do any of this, the very fact that he is part of a government that sends political dissidents to jail and bankrupts them, which completely hijacks the entire media, which arrests even a single peaceful demonstrator disgraces himself by association.

This boy Aaron Koh and his parents who are looking forward to prostitute his soul only because there is money in it, are no better than the basest of the base of human life you can find; who like the prostitute will do anything if there is sufficient money in it.

Instead of stooping so low, this disgraceful boy (I am not sure if he fully understands what he is about to do) who has won Lee's President Scholarship and his parents should instead tell the boy the disgraceful consequences of accepting it, a total abdication of one's soul to Lee Kuan Yew for money, and instead tell him that there is nothing more important in life than to keep your soul and dignity intact.

His parents should tell this boy that there is greater honor in being like Chee Soon Juan who has the courage of his conviction to do what is right, no matter the consequences.

His parents should instead tell him that there is far greater honor to be poor and honorable than to be rich but with no soul or dignity.

His parents should tell this boy that there is greater honor in emulating the late JB Jeyaretnam and losing everything, but keeping his soul intact.

His parents should tell this boy that there is greater honor to be like Gopalan Nair, sent to jail for 3 months for pointing out a disgraceful injustice in Lee's court and now disbarred from practicing law in Singapore, a punishment which he wears as a medal worth all the riches in the world.

What the parents of Aaron Koh should tell their son is that we all die one day. Second there is such a thing as a conscience and third, if you have your soul intact, it is a little easier to shave in the morning, because you cannot avoid looking at yourself in the mirror.

Aaron Koh will return from which ever university he goes to in the West coming back to Singapore not only a person devoid of his soul, he would become a thorough hypocrite and you know why of course.

In the West he will be exposed to ideas of freedom and democracy, unassailable for the truth in them, but yet would have to shamefully pretend to please Lee Kuan Yew that it is all wrong because his dictatorship is the best political system in the world.

Which this boy will do for money for 20 or 30 years of his remaining working life. Of course while doing this he will wallow in the money Lee throws at him, but in truth he will wallow in the filth which that money has become.

Muslims would say that if you earned money by doing wrong, that money becomes Haram (unclean). That is what Aaron Koh would be eating the rest of his life in the service of Lee Kuan Yew and company. He would in effect be eating filth.

A decent young man or parents who have some character or principle would have told Lee Kuan Yew to keep his scholarship and shove it up you know where. Unfortunately this child and his parents are not made that way.

Gopalan, you were wrongfully removed from the rolls, the Law Society have no jurisdiction over non practicing lawyers.

See

Inquire committee has jurisdiction over Legal Officers (Francis Seow’s case)

-

Now, with section 82A, Legal Officers can also be subject to complaint proceedings.

-

S82A was inserted to [provide a new procedure for the disciplinary of legal officers and non-practising

solicitors. The Law Society has no jurisdiction over such persons.

-

This new section 82A provides that an application to show cause may be made with the leave of the Chief Justice where any legal officer or non-practising solicitor has been guilty of such misconduct unbefitting a legal officer or an advocate and solicitor as an officer of the Supreme Court or as a member of an honourable profession or has been adjudicated a bankrupt.

-

Upon such an application, the Chief Justice may grant leave and appoint a Disciplinary Committee to inquire into the complaint if he is of the opinion that there is a prima facie case of misconduct against a legal officer or non-practising solicitor, the matter will be heard by a court of 3 judges of the Supreme Court.

-

Upon completion of the hearing, the court may strike the person off the roll, prohibit him from applying for

PRC student with ‘dual citizenship’ awarded President’s Scholarship by PAP

a PRC student Ms XIAO YIFEI with ‘dual citizenship’ who is awarded this year’s President Scholarship by the PAP regime:

Though Singapore is one of the few countries in the world which do not allow dual citizenship, it appears there are certain exception to the rule, especially if one is from the PAP’s favorite country – China.

PRC CHINESE or SINGAPOREAN CHINESE.

Sounds like its one and the same thing in Singapore.

This is disgraceful.

PRC Chinese tells an Indian family to stop cooking curry, and went to the government agency and got this family to cook curry only when they are not around.

Will they next tell Malay families to stop cooking rendeng, sambal, lemak, assam because they do not like the smell?

---

To the children of people from Southern China, i.e. Singapore's 'native' Chinese, you made a big mistake by making a pact with the PRC devils.

The PRC Chinese look down on you as peasants and coolies.

They think your language and dialects are inferior.

Their numbers are growing in Singapore with many becoming citizens, and very soon they will be running for office.

Singapore's Chinese, when you had the chance, you should have stopped listening to Lee Kuan Yew's racist diatribes, and instead built bridges with with non-Chinese citizens of Singapore.

Can't feel sorry for your fools.

To Anonymous Aug 13, 734,
I am not suprised at all why they did it when it has been clear to anyone ever since the country began that they will do anything they want. It is not rule of law, it is rule by expedient.

And as for you I am similary not suprised, knowing Singaporeans, that depsite knowing this, you seem to take the trouble to write it, and not even suprised that even though you mention this important fact, you can only do it anonymously.

By the way, the President's Scholarship and Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship (SAFOS) were only started in 1971.

LHL was part of the first batch to receive both scholarships.

Coincidence?
